I am halfway through the book, and its an excellent book. Written with an easy to understand language, less technical or philosophical concepts which is the author鈥檚 field.
And the arguments made within the book are very well laid out. They nicely follow another.
I think this must be a must-read for every muslim, and a highly recommended read for non Muslims. This is because the book provides a general and holistic historical landscape for why the current state of the Muslim world is what it is now.

A thinking person's guide to our times is an extremely insightful book written by Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad. It contains an in depth yet comprehensive insight into the Islamic world at large; its challenges and problems and their solution. This book articulates both global and inner crises which are explained in the most comprehensive and informative way. It's a must-have to understand the situation of the Ummah and the Muslim world at large, and to gain an in depth insight into today's problems, on a political, social, economic scale as well as a spiritual scale. Not only are the problems highlighted, but the solutions are also mentioned, eradicating the despair of hope. The change begins when the issue is known and the solution is highlighted, and this book does that very well.
A must read for those wishing to understand the challenges of the modern day and the appropriate responses to them. Prince Ghazi summarises the crises that the Muslim ummah is going through in a manner that is accessible and understandable for non-specialists.
I ordered multiple books in the US and they arrived very quickly. The print is very high quality. I鈥檇 definitely order again. The shipping cost to the US is a bit high and I feel they should do something about it. Either use a cheaper carrier or make a distribution center in North America.
