A Tentative Guide to Islamic Invocations
A Tentative Guide to Islamic Invocations
Forward by Shaykh Abdul Raheem Limbada
H.R.H. Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad bin Talal (author)
The 'A Tentative Guide to Islamic Invocations' is a personal selection of invocations, all of which claim to be from the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) or from his immediate Companions. In other words, everything in this collection is a transmitted (ma’thur) invocation. Apart from a single narration (which is traceable to the Tabi‘ al-Tabi‘in Imam Sufyan al-Thawri [97–161 ah/716–778 ce] and who arguably would not have related it without a now-lost chain of transmission to the Prophet (SAW)), there are no non-transmitted invocations here from any of the great figures of Islamic history and spirituality after the Companions of the Prophet (SAW).Notice:

In fact, buy the whole series. H. R. H. Prince Ghazi has written books that everyone should read, whether they are Muslim or not. The language is clear and concise. The book itself is printed on quality paper and the text is typeset aesthetically. I bought the books upon recommendation by Mufti Mangera, and have been recommending them to family and friends.
This book is filled with all the du'as we're familiar with but scattered within are real gems that bring life, joy and happiness to the reader hoping to gain the reward of the du'a one is reading. It's part of my daily routine to read certain parts of this book now! Alhamdulilah.
The only thing that bothered me was the 2 different sections of arabic and English. I'd much prefer the Arabic with the English to help a bit more with reading the dua with a bit more feeling.
I've been married 25 years but allhumdullilah so much to take and learn from this book. A must have on all Muslim household bookshelves I ordered more copies to give to newlyweds overall a excellent book to have and read over and over.
