Yasien Mohamed

Yasien Mohamed is an Emeritus Professor of Arabic Studies and Islamic Philosophy at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Ethics from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt. A prolific scholar, Professor Mohamed has written extensively on classical Islamic philosophy, Islamic psychology, Qur'anic ethics, and modern Islamic thought, with over 100 peer-reviewed articles to his credit. His book publications include Fiṭrah: The Islamic Concept of Human Nature, and The Path to Virtue, for which he was honoured with the prestigious World Prize Book of the Year Award.
